WOW
talk about a long day! but it went SO smoothly for all the things that could have gone wrong!
We got off our ship and got an uber to the airport, we got there early and hung out saw a kid throw up on the floor and deiced traveling with kids is going to be hard. security went well and we got on our flight to Jeddah.
I thought we were going to miss our flight and Jed was laughing so hard at me. we travel very differently for how much we travel together.
we got on the flight and started watching our shows and the flight was delayed for over an hour. yes, we were sitting on the runway for an hour! and we were so hot!!!!! I was so stressed about this day and Jed was just mad that we were going.
we got off and we were watching our shows we landed in Saudi Arabia and it was 93 degrees!
we got off the plan but didn't have our tickets so someone had to go print them off for us it was a very inefficient way. we sat there for probably 30 minutes.
we ended up getting everything taking care of and going through security Jed and I had to go through separate lines and I had to a room where I got pat down.
we ended up sitting in the waiting area and I was charging my phone. I was so nervous! I was so different than everyone I was not only the only blonde there but i was the ONLY one who wasn't covering there head! ahh! I got so many stairs and was feeling really stressed. but I ended up talking to a lady who calmed me down and made me feel so safe.... she was from Bali and she was so nice to talk to me. we talked about her job, my job, and our travels.
when we went to get on our flight we ended up going on a bus to get on the flight a man gave up their seat for me. again I was so surprised that people were so nice! we got out our flight ate our dinner and flew to Egypt.
we had to go through Egypt customs which I had heard was a nightmare! we waited in line for an hour and once we got through they were so nice. we got out of the airport and needed to go to another terminal. we had to get an UBER!!!! what it was that far away. our uber driver was so slow and we ended up waiting for another 15 minutes for him to get to us. people where so push and wanted us to get into there taxi even though we didn't have money.
we checked in to our flight. and the bed was so hungry and so tired that he slept and I went to get him pizza. I had eaten so much food on the cruise that I didn't need to eat. like I'm so surprised at how little I ate that day.
we got on our flight and had to sit in the back Jed and I thought we scored a seat in the back where we could both lay down! but it was reserved for the security garde on every flight... Egypt is crazy my friends.
we got into Jordan and it was a breeze! I love it when that happens. we got our car and drove 15 minutes to our hotel. it was actually really nice! this was about 2 AM and it was a 22 hour STRESSFUL TRAVEL DAY
the whole time I thought we weren't even going to make it there. jed wanted to cuddle up in the small pocks blanket and we froze to death that night but dang did we sleep well.
