Our First Home

We bought a home. HOLY COW WE BOUGHT A HOME! We had no idea that we were actually going to become adults and buy a home! We almost bought a house in May, but we decided that it wasnt right for us, and backed out of our offer. After we backed out of our offer we didn't really know what to do with our lives. We had been in our 600 square foot apartment for 4 years, we both had amazing jobs, and we needed to grow some how. One night Jed and I were laying in bed and I had an idea to sell everything we had and travel the world for a year!  Honestly we had nothing to lose and now would be the perfect time. We didn't have kids, we didn't have a house, and we wanted something different. We started planning our trip around the world and I'm not going to lie, we didnt get very far. We had made a list of the places we wanted to go and checked out the best way to buy the plane tickets.
A month or so passed and we were talking about what we wanted in our house so we wrote them down and put it out into the universe.
Jed's list.

Kenzie's list

After we made a mental list we didn't think much about it. One day after we were done at the gym we got a call from our Realtor. He told about a house that recently came back on the market. We asked if he could meet us over there. We got there and fell in love! It had everything that we had on our check list. Without even questioning it we put in an offer. This time around everything went so smoothly. The loan was approved quickly and we were in our house within a couple weeks.
The second our house closed we got the keys, went over to the house, and ate dinner on the front porch because we were so excited! It is still one of our favorties things to do. We met our neightbors and fell in love with them! Everyone was so nice and we could tell it was gonna be a great neighborhood to live in.
The next day, I went to work and Jed and his family moved us in! After I was done with work we finished everything else. As we layed in bed that night in our new house we wondered what we had gotten ourselves into and how we were going to make all this happen, but we knew this journey we had just started was going to be a fun one!
