let me just start by saying this day almost ended our marriage, this made me question going on this adventure with Jed, and this also made me wonder how newly weeds do this!
We Rented a car, not any car, an automatic, in a city....no a country that we have never been in where they drive on the other side of the road! gal where do I start!
we learned from pervious experiences that Jed and I don’t do well without food. So, we started with breakfast than walked to get our car I had no idea that Jed was getting a smart car! I look at the car and busted up laughing! I helped Jed get out of the tiny parking spot than jumped into the passenger side (which was what I was used to getting into the driver side) and off we went!
I was constantly reminding Jed that he was about to hit a car, turning into a wrong lane, turning into round about in the wrong way! Which was so scary! There was one time that we went over a mean in a roundabout. once we got onto the freeway life got less stressful and I stopped swearing at Jed and started enjoying the music. We finally made it to the castle! We got out and had our first English fish in chips and talked about joked about how we were going to drive back.
the castle was beautiful! unfortunately they don’t let you take any photos of the inside. But Jed being the honest person that he is took all sorts of pictures. even took some pictures with the grads after they told us not to! cool fact when you buy a pass to on into Winsor castle its good for a year! you can go back as many times as you want in that year
Then came the dreaded drive back! Once again, the free wasn’t the worst but when we got into the city Jed wanted to drive in the cities which was rush hour I went along with it until we got right around Hyde park and I asked if we could just drop off the car! Jed being the sweetest guy dropped of the car. as soon as we dropped off the car I started looking for a metro. But Jed wanted to ride bikes down town. once again, I reminded him that it was a 3-4 mile bike ride. Jed lived on a bike for 2 years and was a lot better at ridding the bikes was no big deal.

I felt like I had been nagging him all day and asking why we didn’t just take a train to the train so I bit my tong and said ok let’s do it. So, picture this... me, already mad because I was trying not make not Jed hit cars, now I am riding a bike, while trying to get directions, trying not to get hit by cars (remember wrong side of the road here.) Trying to keep up with Jed. I look at Jed who is just loving life. peddling down the streets of London. and then it happened, Jed asked me to take a picture of this beautiful view (in Hine sigh it was beautiful! white buildings on either side with English flags going from each side of the building overhead) I start saying so many words that I would not want my parents to hear!
We ended up in Piccalilli Circle. We parked our bikes and looked into going to a play. But we were feeling pretty poor so we decide that we should go see some more free stuff. we had some amazing curry and went and say the tower of London and London bridge. after we walked to Buckingham palace and saw it by night
