The best thing about New York is that there is so many different places to eat. While we were waiting for our bus to come (of course because I'm always afraid to be late!) we found a delicious breakfast bakery that we had breakfast at. Afterwards we got on the bus and drove down to DC which was only about 4 hours. We watched movies and cuddled. When we got there Jed wasn't sure what bus stop to get off at haha (side note...when we were planning this trip I planned NYC and Jed planned DC because Jed lived there). We got off at the right bus stop and went down on to the metro. It was so funny and pretty cute to watch Jed try to figure out how to use the metro in Washington DC. Instead of buying a one time pass they charge per stop, so if you were to go from the top of Washington DC to the bottom it would be a lot more expensive than just going one stop away. We went down onto the metro and it was so pretty and so clean.
When we were in New York Jed kept telling me how gross the subways were and I thought all of them are like this. As soon as I got to Washington DC it was so nice! They had AC int the metro and the architecture was so awesome. We got on the train to where are Airbnb was and dropped off our stuff there. Then we got ready and were off to dinner!
Jed wanted to go to this Japanese steak house that he loved! We got there and it was closed so we had Thai food instead which was pretty good. We then went to Chevy Chase which was one of Jed's favorite places he served on his LDS mission. We went to the church where he lived and peeked like creeps threw the windows. It was no longer being use as an apartment for elders or else Jed would have literally knocked on the door and asked if we could come in.
After we walked along western avenue which was the street that separated Washington DC from Maryland and looked at all the beautiful houses! We then walked around downtown Chevy Chase (where I would love to live one day) and then wanted to walk over to another metro stop. It was so crazy. We were walking around at 11 o clock at night and felt so safe because it was such a nice neighborhood. I really wish we would have seen fire flies, but Jed said it was too late in the year and we weren't far enough out to see any of them.

We made our way back over to our house and crashed! We were so excited to go explore the next day!
