School update

Just thought I would update you guys on some exciting things going on in school! I got into phase two which is where I take appointments all day and the standards on selling product  are a  higher and the best part is I get to wear white!

 I passed my state boards! The practical (the physical part of the state board). We had to demonstrate that we know how to keep the client safe, keep us safe, and make sure we were sanitary. I was really nervous for that test because it’s really expensive to retake. The test alone is $87 and to take the class that teaches us how to pass the state board is expensive. To rent the kit is also expensive so if I didn't pass it would be about $500 to retake the test. No pressure right?! But I passed and all of my friends passed! When I would ask my teachers if it was a hard test they said no, but you’ll want to throw up after the test. I thought they were crazy but after the test I totally understood because it was so stressful! Two weeks later I took my written test which was 100 multiple choice questions and you have to get higher than a 75 percent on that. I also passed that with a 94 percent! That was amazing to me because I don't do well on tests so to only miss 6 was really good.

To top it all off I graduated! Wahoo! I'm now a licensed cosmetologist!  After I graduated my friend Rondalee called me and said “you did it!”  It feels so good to finish something that you love and will enjoy doing for the rest of your life! It usually take people 4 years to get there degree for their career and mine only took me 11 months! :) I was so excited to graduate but I was also so scared and sad to leave all of my friends! I have been with them 5 days a week all day for almost a year and they became some of my best friends! But I know that we will be able to see each other often. 

Now, I’m working from home and I am going to school 35 hours a week and I'm hoping to bump it up to 50 hours a week so I can get school done faster.  I love school don't get me wrong but I'm ready to start working full time and to start making $$$... Just saying!

Jed on the other had is rocking it hard core at Verizon and trying to get school done. He has 4 more classes till he has bachelors! They are Marketing, English, Humanities and his capstone. So everyone bug his so that he will get this done so we can both move on with our lives and be DONE with school!
