Memorial grove pictures

I found some pictures of a Memorial Grove Just right up the street from our apartment in Utah. We miss how close this place is to us. But we are not missing how cold it is in Utah. We cant wait to get back to our little apartment that was so close to down town.

NEW BLOG

As you can see our blog got a makeover! I love it! It went from dark and cluttered to simple! Thank you Ali for making it look so nice! As you can see there are some new buttons on the side, so that you can follow me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pintrest. I wish that I could tell ya how to do it, but I spent two whole days trying to figure it out with no luck.

Thanks again Ali! I hope it brings more people to our blog! Hopefully I can remember to blog more!

First week in TEXAS

It’s true! We are now living in the lone-start state! Good old' Texas. So far it has been alright we have had some problem with the housing, but there is nothing we can do about it. So we wait! The first night for sure was the worst! We were stay in a place called the value place (just the name sounds sketchy this is like the basic of the basic for an extended stay hotel. Jed and I got to sleep on a full size bed that was fun... there is a kitchen, but no dishes you have to buy them. Everything is an add on. I’m pretty sure that they would charge toy for hot water if they could. It’s so nasty and I was so sad that they asked us to stay there. thank goodness we got out of there the next night into a nicer hotel, I'm sad to say that we won’t be in our apartment for a couple more days #sigh I can’t wait till we get in them!

Random Temple. But good to know there is a temple on the boarder of Utah and Colorado 

no offence new mexico but I'm pretty sure that everyone is drunk. because they had so many unnecessary signs! like 4 signs saying that you are going the wrong way! Some of the signs told you when you can and cant pass, but they also had the lines on the road. they had signs that told you that you were going to be going over a hill. yes very random.

Our one night in this nasty hotel. Side not you had to fill out a servery and if you didn't they charged you 45 bucks! They didn't get very good reviews from us. 

Jed’s First day on the job! P1 baby!

Our drive down to Lubbock Texas was good Jed might have gotten a ticket... but the cop was very nice and let us off with only going 4 over. We got down here really late and wanted to go to sleep. the next day we went and saw the which was so much better than last year... last year the office was in Jed and i's room. This year it is an actual building so that is a major plus! It was really messy but we got it cleaned up and organized! Jed has been working a lot been installing and trying to get the office set up with training his new guys he is a hard worker with school and work he stays pretty busy... me on the other hand... not so much. I try to find things to do that will keep me busy. But for the most part I just work out, cook, and go shopping. It’s really lazy. Which is kind of nice but I hope that I can find a hobby or something to keep me busy. 

I plan on working out as much as I can. Jed and I are going to Cancun at the end of the summer so I want to look really good or that! I also have my mom’s quilts that I need to get done. With a lot of my mom’s old clothes we cut them up so that we can make them into a quilt for Alex Addie and me. I’m really excited to get those done one day!

I Love how there is a Texas Roadhouse in Logan and a Logan's Roadhouse in Texas. Texas also has so many stake houses. more than usual.

Love shopping! I have never had time to really look threw everything at Forever 21 but since I had all day I looked threw everything! I found some cute things and whatever the jean jumpsuit is! I didn't buy anything but I'm walking distance from the mall! :)

This has been my favorite part of taxes! That we have a temple within 5 mins of our house! I'm so grateful that we were blessed to get sent to a place with a temple so close! We really love going to the temple we try to do it once a month. In the same parking lot is a church that we ended up going to on Sunday there was confusion about what time church was at and at what ward. So we ended up going to a singles ward! Which was such an amazing experience we walked in late because we though church started at 2 but it started at one. We sat down and listed to the last couple mins of the person talking.

Jed and I were confused on if this was the first or the last call of church so we  were trying to look it up on our phones and within seconds we had someone coming up to us to ask if we were new? Or investigating? Or just visiting. We told them we were married and that we are from Utah and they were so excited to see us! I had so many people come up to me and introduce them self's I was shocked on how welcoming the people were. They made me fill so welcome that I wanted to go back to the singles ward! They were so nice and wanted to sit next to me and talk to me! I was so happy! Our ward back home has been a struggle for me. Going has been hard because I have had very few people (about 6) come up and talk to Jed or I to welcome us to the ward when we have been in our ward for about 7 months. Going to this little singles ward in Lubbock Texas makes me want to reach out to the new people that will one day be coming in to a ward that Jed and I are already in. It makes we want to be more welcome so that people fell the same way that I felt. 

I'm so grateful that we had this chance to go to this ward! I can’t wait to go to church next week to an actual family ward!

Meeting Jeds family.

Last Sunday before we left for Texas I had the opportunity to go and meet Jed's grandparents on his dads side. For all of you who don't know both of Jed's  parents come from polygamist family. His parents chose to break off from there Families and convert to Mormonism  (I'm so glad that they did!) Both his grandparents still practice polygamy and they don't really talk with them anymore. But once My father-in-laws mother found out that Jed had been married she wanted to meet me! I was so excited to meet her and her husband. We went over to there house, and met Jed's grandma who was sweet and welcoming! The whole family came and had a great time getting caught up. Jed's grandma got to meet me and her new great-grandson, Owen and she got to catch up with the rest of Jed's brothers and sister. 

She was so nice just like any grandma! I"m glad I had the opportunity to meet her, after we talked  we asked if she could give us a tour of their house! We got to see some of the other apartments were the other wives live and we got to see there stage, Jed's grandpas library and were they worship. It was Great, I know that there is a lot of controversy about  polygamy,  I'm not saying that I agree with it, but I know that they are nice normal people who just believe in a different point of view. Jed's grandpa had some amazing books and works of art that were very rare! I'm so glad I got to meet them and hope that we get to see them more often! 

Last day at work afcu pictures

After working at a bank for over six months. It for sure had its ups and downs. There were some days that i was loving my job it was fun, exciting and it there of course there were the weirdo that made my day more exciting. but than there were the days that it was so slow! I was going to stab my self in the leg to get me out working. I LOVED working at America First because of my co workers they were also great the people at America first who can do there banking were all so nice! It was just so slow and as a busy body like me it was hard not to get frustrated after sitting there for two hours with nothing to do. 

so on my last day i was so excited to leave and we thought it would be funny to decorate my drawer. so we put really ugly pictures all over it... that were really scary! SO SORRY to whoever got my drawer...

Playing Hooky

I didn't want to post this till i quit my job...

 But now that I have quit I'm glad I can post this!! I had two sick days that were use of lose it.... I was fine with just losing it. I was like its no big deal I can just lose two paid sick days... But Jed was not ok with that. He was like you have to take them. I struggled with taking them because I wasn't sick and it would be lying. But after disagreeing with him for two or three days I did it!! I took my sick days haha which was so fun! The first day we went to scheels and road the fairs wheel!!! So much fun!! I didn't think it was that big when I looked at it but when I was at the top... I was pretty scared! It was only 65 feet tall but that's high enough for me! We also went to cold stones with the gift card that my cute sister in law crystal gave us! (Thanks!)

I glad that I have a husband who encourages me to do stuff I have never done it was fun to spend a few days with him and I did fill like a rebel.

Kenzie's 20th

I wasn't planning on writing a post for my birthday. But this birthday was one I will never forget thanks to my cute husband! About a week before my birthday Jed had the opportunity to go to Kansas for his job and make some extra side money. We had just been on a trip to San Francisco and we didn't want to go into our savings so we decied that Jed should go and make a couple hundred bucks to pay off our trip. I always hate it when Jed leaves. I usually don't tell anyone (except family) I have watched to many scary movies were someone's is alone all these bad things happen. But nothing has happened I just over react. Lol
So we decied that Jed would leave but we had no idea that it would be over my birthday. I didn't relise that my birthday was so soon. His mom was the one who pointed it out. She said "you can't go that's over Kenzie's birthday" Jed had already agreed to go and he couldn't get out of it. So of course I was sad but i played it off as no its fine. We will just do something when you get back.

That whole week I was sad that I would be alone on my birthday I wouldn't have my twin brother is serving a lds mission in Germany, I would have my mom, who passed way almost 8 years ago, my dad and sister were in Logan and I wouldn't have Jed. I was filling kinda down on my self. But my cousin Jess and aunt Terri wanted to plan something fun! We had planned to have my family come to dinner and that was so great!

Anyways....why my birthday was so great great! The night before my birthday Jed was texting my all day saying that he wanted to call me at midnight to be the first one to wish me a happy birthday! I thought that was really sweet of him that he was trying to make the best out of my birthday since we couldn't be together. He was texting me all day and was texting me really fast. I didn't think it was abnormal I was just glad that I could talk to him. That night at 12:00 he called me and wished me happy birthday.we were talking about what I was going to do tomorrow and what I wanted for my birthday and I Told him that I wanted his for my birthday. He than said well why don't you come out side so that I don't have to sing happy birthday to you over the phone. It took him a couple mins for me to believe that he was actually out side.i was so happy to see him that I jumped from my pouch down 10 stairs to hug him! I was so excited to see him that I'm not going to lie I cried!!! He was so sweet to drive all the way home just to be back for my birthday. He gets husband of the year award!

That next day we just spent the day together we went shopping and we went to dinner with my moms side of the family and we got to go to dinner with Addie and my dad :) I'm so grateful that i have a family and husband who will go out of there ways to make sure on my birthday that they spend time with me. Thanks for all the birthday wishes everyone and birthday gifts!!
