We saw the sub for the first time since we have been here!!!!!
Today was kinda hard because remember our hotel that is in the boonies.... well because of the typhoons we have a hard time getting out of our little hole in the wall. We spent 2 hours trying to figure out how to get out. There was tons of damage down to the tracks so that's what caused us to get creative.
I'm so glad I have Jed, he is such a problem solver. Like I was about to give up and just have another day at the hotel but he stuck to is and made it so we could go see Kyoto
It said it was 2 hours away... well it was a lot farther than that I think it took us 3 or 4 hours on how to get there. (It felt like forever) today we road 6 busses and 10 trains to get there and back. Haha, shoot me now.
I might sounds a little sassy writing this because I also woke up with a cold.(thank you thyroid + weaken the immune system. )
Anyways we finally made it up to Kyoto around 3 and made our way to the bamboo Forrest which was kinda damaged by the storm but still beautiful. We couldn't get enough of it. We tried to go to the golden palace but we got there too late and it was closed.
We then went to dinner where you had to take off your shoes before going into the restaurant so Japanese and we tried caviar for the first time. It was ok. Nothing to write home about. Lol... as in writing "home" about it.
This street that we were on was amazing and beautiful so many lights and shops it was kinda a big deal.
As I write this now we are on our way back from Kyoto a 2-hour train ride...
I nicely asked Jed if we should make sure our other hotels are in a good area and he assured me that they were.
He is such a joy in my life I freaking love the crap outta him and even if we spent 6 hours on a train today at least it was with him. I'm so lucky to call him mine
