Japan> China day 10 October 27,2017

Feeling: Nervous to be in China. Last time I was so sheltered
Excited for: The food
Not excited for: Alex, Addie, my dad and I agree that China is pretty gross. I totally forgot about that part until I got here.
Miles traveled:  7427
Interesting conversations: everyone spits here it is so gross
Best Part of the day:  dumplings
Worst part of the day: getting lost trying to find our hostel and out hosteling is pretty dumpy
Continents visited: 1
Countries visited: 2
Cities Visited: 4

We woke early and headed down for breakfast. we, of course, had the western breakfast and they had the coolest butter and jam containers. You fold it in half and butter and jam come out at the same time... its the simple things guy. we are honestly getting sick of tea or coffee every morning. we just want our WATER

We headed to the airport and checked my bag, changed some of our Japan money to Chinese and waited for our plane to get here. the one nice thing about Japan is that there are vending machines everywhere. and they are pretty cheap a coke was like $1.50 at the airport instead of $5  in the us

our plane got delayed but we didn't mind, we just sat and hung out

We got on the plane and there were blankets and food! the meal was actually pretty tasty and it made the flight go a lot faster.

We landed and went through customs, the airport is huge!!! I don't remember it being that big. but we got all of our stuff, bought a sim card and headed to the subway. at this point, Jed had already tried to drink the water twice!

we took the subway and got off at the wrong one! I was ready to walk but Jed just got mad! haha, that is pretty normal on this trip. there is security everywhere which Jed doesn't like. I told him to get used to it we are in a Communist country!

Side note I finally taught Jed how to use his backpack the right way and not to get the weight off of his shoulders and on to his hips

We got to our hostel and settled in. it's kinda a dumb but YOLO we are making the best out of it.

We went to dinner at a dumpling place which was so yummy we wrote on the wall that we were on our trip it was a great night.

Also, I have been thinking a lot. since I'm not in us and I'm experiencing different cultures I will look up what their government is like, what their health care is like, what their taxes are like etc. America is not that bad. honestly, so many people are worried about this or that and that one reason why I love traveling is to see how good we have it here. if people would get out a little they might see that there are a lot worse places in the world with worse governments and stuff.. enough politics back to our trip
