Day 2 in Paris was a little chilly we started off by getting breakfast. We went to a well know bakery close to the Eiffel tower the pastries where to die for. We sat on the steps of a church and got yelled at multiple times in French! The best part about being tourist is that you can play dumb a lot of the time and plus you are never going to see them again.
'
We made our way to the metro and then started going towards Versailles. NOTE Paris metro is separated into zones and you can get most places in zone one and zone two. Versailles is in zone 5... What we did was we bought a 2-day pass for zone one and zone two. We rode the metro to zone 5 which is where Versailles is walked around Versailles and then bought a one-way ticket back to Paris. This might have not been the honest thing to do but truthfully, we didn’t know how it worked. We are just simple folk from Utah.
Once you get off the train it is a short walk to the palace. We went through security and they gave us a head set to listen to all of the cool things that had happened there. We really wanted to go see the gardens but it was raining and we didn’t want to get drenched! We walked around the town that is right next Versailles than went back to McDonalds to get Wi-Fi and directions on how we would get to our next destination. We decide that we wanted to go see the Moulin Rough and also a Basilica.

Once we got to the Moulin Rough we walked around the red-light district and got an amazing sandwich / crepe. every chance you see to get a crepe get a crepe! You will not regret it! there sandwich was so interesting. They put all of the ingredients in raw dough and then bake it like a panini! Once again! When in dough snack it out! We walked up this huge hill to this market where you could stop and eat, look at photos, and just watch people! Seriously I think you could make a hobby of watching people in Paris!
We walked into the Basilica and of course we wanted to go to the top of it. We payed 3 Euro each to walk to the top of it the views where breath taking. This was the best way to see Paris. We walked down into the Basilica where they were having mass and Jed walked into a mass only zone again! Seriously! Can’t take this cute boy anywhere
We made our way to the louve but found out that is closed early on Sunday’s, but we got to walk around the outside and took some stupid toutisty pictures almost got hit by a buss no big deal! by thing point Jed and I were starting to get hangry! We decide to go back by the Eiffel tower and walked to go see lady liberty. After that we went to a big mall where they had tons of options. We met the nicest manager. One of my favorite things about travel is that you get to meet so many people that want to help you!
That night we went back to our Airbnb and started getting ready for the next day. Packing our bags doing laundry and getting our train tickets ready. But we couldn’t find any of our train tickets! Nothing, no confirmation email, we were franticly looking for our tickets but we couldn’t find them! We went to bed knowing that we would probably have to fork our quite a bit of cash. But we knew not everything could go perfect on our 3-week trip!
